Report Sent To Kiriesen

A report from Dace arrives at Kiriesen's office.

"Justice,

My efforts in the Hive continue as discussed. While some things are begining to look up, I am sorry to report that it is not quite yet anything major.

First and foremost; the Soup Kitchen. Due to David's philosophy, it is unlikely that we will glean any information on the assailants there, either through him or his regulars. His pacifism means that he is unwilling to so much as declare who might be slandering his name even if he did know (which I doubt). Likewise, his daughter is concerned about looking for or providing information due to the possibility of retribution. Again, their beliefs mean that even the offer of protection- whether by factions or independant groups- will be rejected.

With all of that said, the most important thing to take from all of this is the very clear fact that no one in that soup kitchen is engaged in anything evidently illegal or warranting of force as a response, so I once again urge that officers in the Triad be discouraged from targeting David. Justice will absolutly not be served by resorting to force against a bunch of underfed and copperless civilians.

On a related note; a Harmonium officer named Ny'leve has started operating in the Kitchen as well, seemingly with similar intentions. I approached her about working on this together, but as with all Harmonium officers lately, she rejected it and began lecturing me on how my superiors would disapprove/ how it was better left to the harmonium alone. I suspect they will complain to you or Factor Charae about my presence there, and possibly frame me for assisting a suspected Revolutionary. With that said, I will continue my efforts until ordered not to by either yourself or another ranking officer within -our- order..

Regarding my continued efforts; I would like to request permission to take medical supplies from our inventory for a donation. As implied before, good will over here will only be achieved through such practical things, not protection from other criminals.

I have also began making some headway in the search for the assassin who murdered Officer Richard. While I do not have a solid lead yet, I have someone (who will remain unnamed) assisting me in the matter. This ally will likely have more luck due to the lack of any factional allegiance. Should also get the more uptight Harmonium off our backs if they insist that they don't want assistance. This ally does, however, belief that the assassin is NOT in fact a true Anarch.

Sincerely,

Namer Dace Andor

Good work so far, and your report is beneficial to the order.

On the topic of Ny'leve, do not worry, like most she operates on limited knowledge.  There is nothing wrong in what you are doing and neither you, nor the order have anything to fear in this.  Contrary to popular believe we are free to make private inquiries into attacks against our own faction as long as we do not make arrests and turn any information about illegal activity to the Harmonium.

For the Medical supplies I will have to pass that up the chain, they are not mine to requisition and the administrators will have to approve and work through the quartermaster on this.

As for the final note, unless your ally has knowledge they are not sharing there is no definitive conclusion as to the identity of the guard's attacker or the bomber in the market.  Be wary who you trust, and also keep in mind that to close your mind off from one possibility may blind you to the truth.  We will continue to investigate all leads, wherever they may take us, until those leads are exhausted.

Justice Kierisen.
Kiera sends that off and then pens a quick note to Factor Charae.

One of my namers, Dace, is an enthusiastic individual and has requested medical supplies from our stores to be taken and distributed to people who visit the soup kitchen and infirmary in the Hive.  I let him know that is a request I cannot approve, so am forwarding it your way.  I do believe this may help with our image in the Hive and Sigil in general, but I do not know the current state of our stores.  Please advise.

At this time the Prison cannot afford to spare any supplies. We are nearing an important operation and will need them. Perhaps once the operation is over and we have something to spare. Until then, I must deny your request.

Factor Charae

Kiera would pass the denial along to Dace in a short note.

A follow up report arrives.
wrote: Justice Kiriesen,

A few of our namers and I have managed to scrounge together supplies to add to a convoy Notory Ny'Leave is preparing. As mentioned before, she decided to reconsider the previous refusal to join efforts. Further more, officer Hograth is also looking into the situation involving David and the Anarchs.

Apperantly he managed to get the courts and Harmonium command to approve of a license for David to continue his charity work/ request for donations, contingent on his dropping the badge. As predicted, David refused, which has officer Hograth concerned about the mans true intentions.

I advise that you or any other officers involved in seeing this matter through speak with him at some point so we may better co-ordinate Harmonium and Mercykiller operations in our mutual search for the Anarch terrorists and the truth behind David's mission.

In the mean time, pending any orders to the contrary, I will continue assisting Notory Ny'leve in the preparation and delivery of the supplies.

Regarding the assassin behind the death of Officer Richard; my source in the Hive is still working on the identity of the killer, but the investigation has so far confirmed that the man was using the arts of a Shadow Dancer.  Hograth was informed of this when I met him earlier.

Hograth has also offered to share any further information he gleans on the matter with us, and seems perfectly willing to accept our assistance.

Sincerely,

Namer Dace Andor

Good work so far.  Working with the Harmonium will go a long way to find out who is attacking our own people and stopping it.  We don't know how we got dragged into the dispute between the anarchs and the harmonium but this will help.

On the subject of David, he is stubborn and unbending, and unable to see past his own narrow vision.  It's a hubris that always defeats purpose.  We've all heard the parable of the tree that doesn't bend in the wind.  Let's just hope this tree learns to lean into the wind before it breaks, for the sake of the people he is trying to help.  I fear that won't happen though, and am surprised that the Ilmateri is being so stubborn about this.  They tend to take no side, offering aid to all while remaining apart from politics so of course his intentions are in question.

Keep me apprised.

This report finds itself in the standard report chain, itended for any of the officers rather than mostly Kiriesen.

There was a fairly disturbing incident in the bazaar tonight. A drider came in and started bragging about how he had ambushed, tortured and killed a female harmonium officer in the Beastlands. He went into very deep detail about the incident, claiming that he ambushed the woman as she was attending to a wounded animal. He went on to described how he ensured that she died slowly and painfully before eating her.

If it matters, this creature was by his claims approached by the Athar to join, but he claims he refused based on an inability to resist eating them.

A few nearby Harmonium arrested the drider shortly after. Although his bragging is timed around when we are loosing both Harmonium and Mercykiller soldiers, I do not think he is neccissarily related to the culprits of the previous murders.

Sincerely,

Dace Andor

Kierisen packs the reports together and makes a note of her own on top before delivering them all to Justice Leona
wrote:Justice Leona,

First, congratulations on your promotion.  It was a wise decision and I look forward to working with you to further our faction.  I'm including all the reports that Namer Dace has sent to me, and have added my own debriefing with the transfer of Dace to your unit.  He has a good sense of how things are in the Hive and is currently working on building ties with a man named David who runs the soup kitchen there.  He is also working on finding out what he can about the attacks against myself and other members of our order to assist the Harmonium in bringing the attackers to justice.

With that Namer Dace has shown great insight in working with our cousins in the barracks, and has assisted on more than one occasion now.  He also expressed an idea that I had not yet had a chance to take to Factor Charae yet.  He believes we might draw these attackers out by setting a baited trap, a lone Mercy Killer in the Hive, followed closely by an armed force to see if we can draw out the anarchists.  He can explain in more detail.

If you have any other questions about his current assignments let me know.  Otherwise I am sure he will fill you in from here on out.

Justice Kierisen.
