wrote: A githyanki (who only identified himself as R) arrived in the cage today. The circumstances of his arrival are currently unknown, though he did manage to misplace his silver sword upon arrival, a fact which he decided to blame on a red winged woman and myself in the cafe' (he actually threatened to kill me someday over it, but I dismiss this as a panicked reaction from a new arrival). Eventually I got him to simmer down a little and told him I'd take him to the barracks where he could file a report over his missing blade.
Along the way however, the extent of his confusion over where he was became more and more evident. After trying to explain the situation to him a few times, I finally got through to him when I told him that there was a portal to the Astral plane here in Sigil, after which he requested that I take him there. Seeing no reason not to, I escorted him to the gate in the Lower Ward and gave him the key, seeing him off as he vanished into the plane.
I returned to the cafe, joined by my friend Raka and my wife. Not long after this, "R" returned, brandishing a massive two handed sword and yelling about how he found his blade. I told him to secure the weapon, which he did after a moment of confusion (the man is not fluent in common), but then proceeded to pick a fight with Raka. Raka, in turn , did not respond particularly kindly, and the two started bickering. The bickering escalated into an all out brawl when the githyanki closed in and...tried to step on the kobold I think (I am unsure, I couldn't see what was happening exactly, but the githyanki did seem hostile in any event). Raka responded by punching the man, which, when Raka punches, translated into shattering his pelvic bone (I heard a very audiable crunch).
The githyanki went down, but I revived him immediately, and took both him and Raka to the nearby Harmonium outpost. Officer Ny'leve was there, and took on the matter, inquiring of each of them what had occurred. A githyanki interpreter had to be summoned to assist, as "R" was having trouble communicating. A lot of back and forth later, the Harmonium decided not to arrest anyone, and let the matter go with a warning to both parties.
Personal observation: The gityhanki in question is potentially dangerous to himself and others in the Cage. Having said that, I suggest keeping in mind that much of what he does will likely be due to ignorance rather than premeditation, something to keep in mind should he be arrested next time.
