A man in seeming travelers outfit carrying several instruments, most notable ones being a harp, lute and drum makes his way to the barracks, seeming a tad lost initially he walks to the front desk.

"Oi! Hello there, I've been wondering a while since I got "taxed" in a way and half the cutters in Bazaar got into hissyfit over twenty jink... do I like need a permit to just sing songs, dance and all that? You know, ain't like tossing knives or anything just strumming my lute, I can even give you an example if you want. It's free before you think I'm a knight of the post or something.

But hey, I don't want trouble over something minor like this... I mean, twenty jink "taxation" is hardly worth going in lengths of trouble. So I just made sure to see the documentation, wasn't intending to sign anything, made sure to get receipt and then paid my twenty jink tax. Heck, the way I see it was cheap to avoid trouble or to get evidence. Hah.

So... my question really is this, do I need to get permit or did the person try to con me? Oh and you can keep the receipt toss it out or consider it an evidence and what not if you will." He gave the Fated receipt where Jonan Conalt had paid Anja the member of Fated 20 tax jink over street performance without license "Now if I need some permit, where do I get it?"

The Harmonium officer looks at the Receipt and scratches his head.

"Can't say i'm rightly sure about this one sir. I may have to double check with the code, especially in relation to the Bazaar. As I recall, there were some permit free zones set up there at one point.

But of course, if there are Fated members out there abusing the tax system for their own gain, then it becomes a matter of law.

Anja of the Fated you say?" he takes a note.

"Well, its going to take me some time to look into the code and statutes of the Bazaar, ill have to speak with on of our specialists on the particular bylaws of the area.

Alternately, you could visit the Fraternity of Order or the Fated themselves for confirmation.

If the Fraternity tell you that you were incorrectly fined, then you could press charges there at the same time."

Theatrically Jonan grimaces at the seeming thought "Yeeaaaahh... I think I'll pass going to the Fated because they'll tax me for talking or making questions, heck maybe even documentation overview taxation and whatever they can think of. And the Fraternity, well those chumps get straight to the point... after three hours. I'm starting to think the 20 jink was a great investment in comparison, especially if it'd get in the court." sheepish grin "So I'll leave it up to you, take your time!"

"Very well Sir. Then please describe to me your exact location when you were performing."

He nods "Of course! It was right in the Great Bazaar, by the merchant stands. Playing my flute next to Tarion the sellspell. Now I can assure you, it wasn't a hostile tune or damaging sort music, I'm quite capable to make such too, but this was all done without any magical or ill intent."

A tax of not more than 50 coins of gold standard may be levied against performers in the Great Bazaar, either payable in advance or applied as an on-the-spot fine in the event the performer cannot show a pre-paid licence.

The tax agent may decide the actual size of the fine depending on the size of the performance, its impact on the Bazaar, and other factors the agent believes are relevant.

The licence or fine permits the performer to perform for five peak-antipeak cycles before it expires."

Well son, it looks like nothing to do. All is above board.
