((NOTE! This is the Forum RP Pre-story to what is going to happen in the event, the event has not started yet, it is simply a build up to it.))

The fleet was dispatched, the Harmonium took to the sky one ship at a time as the Bireme shaped Jammers took to the air. Measure One Amaku Yamikaze took a grim look over the city of doors she was trusted to protect. Her friends were down there somewhere, she wasnt about to abbandon them now.

But the city mattered, the entire city. The woman sounded the order to launch the Kibô no shîrudo, Shield of Hope.
Its frame was standard issue like the rest of the fleet, though it was defined by a Measure One Insignia upon its mast flag. The ship was considered in terms of nautical standard no stronger than a small frigate capable of doing some moderate damage to other lighter vessels, but it excelled in speed while the others did not.

The remaining war frigates took off out of Mechanus and into Realmspace, towards a Nebulae close to the planet of Karpri. A large cold gasious mass surrounded the planets atmosphere, impairing all vision of the main fleet, making the situation disadvantagious for the Harmonium's huge war effort.

Whats more, an asteroid field impaired vision even further, with jagged icicle blades portruding from the asteroids as the fleet was forced into uncomfortably close formations.

Amaku kept her eyes peeled left and right, sniffing the air. Something felt wrong about this picture... this was a danger zone for a fleet ship especially in formation.

She wasnt an idiot.

"Arite, pull back, signal for the rest of our squadron to keep apart. I dunnae like tis one bit..." She signed to a Notary nearby.

The man nodded firmly and waved a torch, signaling in code to the other ships as they began to take distance from the rest of the fleet.

Amaku watched with a pensive expression, the fleet entered compleate radar blank at this point as everything turned dark. The thickness of the fog and the cold weather were brutal, it reminded her too nostalgically of Stygia as her eyes fluttered uncomfortably.

Rocks drifted past Hope, her ship, as she kept an eye out to make sure she knew what was distinctly a rock and something else.

Soon enough however she began to see shapes appearing in the clouds. As the formations moved deeper in, they were trailed like sharks. They'd been caught into the heart of an ambush.

But the more she looked around the more shapes she began to see appearing in the shadows. The Shadowsworn Jammers began to uncloak one by one. First in tens, then in Hundreds, then... in Thousands.

Her eyes widened in horror, what had they done?!

She immediatley signalled the pilot to steer Hope out of the fray before the guns could begin attacking. But it was too late, the fight had begun.

Sharp bolts of lightning shot through the fog and shattered the hulls of the Harmonium ships with ease. Though mass produced, their fragile materials made them easy pray for their vastly superiour opponent. Her own ship narrowly avoided a sharp coil of lightning as it caught the edge of the deck, sending a couple of men floating into the Nebulae helplessly.

She charged after one, grasping onto them, pulling a notary back on deck before another bolt flashed over their heads, narrowly missing both. "We have t'get outta here! Tere's no chance in hell for t'rest of t'fleet if we dunnae warn 'em of t'size of our enemy!"

"But what about the other ships!" The Notary commented as Amaku spurred with angered and tearful eyes, gripping him by the coif and dragging him face to face.

"We dont have time for the other ships, dun y'see? Tis is a killing ground, a suicide field, we have only enuff time t'warn t'rest of t'fleet tat hasnt arrived already to stay t'hells out of t'Nebulae, we gotta get outta here, NOW!" Her tone hung a heavy and strong reluctance, she was compleatly unwilling to do this but she had to stop the fleet's bulk head from arriving into the Nebulae, they had to draw their enemy out.

As the lightning lances sparked across Harmonium decks the ships were torn apart peice by peice. Some cut straight across the mid section, slicing the boats in two with one simple swift motion. Skimmers then arrived with winged monstrocities onboard to collect the injured or living. The dead were left as a grim reminder, as they destroyed anything of the ships down to the last atom.

The sparks of lightning stopped firing and the vessels in the shadows dissappeared into the murk. Amaku escaped with her life narrowly, but her heart sunk to the lowest point. Many good notaries were lost that day, she would bring justice to them all for this.

The ship left into the open vast of Realmspace where the rest of the fleet was, it had been damaged and managed to warn the bulkhead of the fleet to be ready for an imminent counter attack.

The larger destroyers closed into a box formation to prepair any guns and equipment they could for war. Troops armed themselves to the teeth, mages bolstered them with spells and clerics stood ready for the wounded.

The enemy fleet began to emerge from the Nebulae.

But then another fleet appeared to the east as a group of powerful manned ships began bombarding cannons violently at The Shadowsworn assault fleet. The Sinker ships had arrived, only convinently to steal the glory at the moment of beautiful entropy. This would be a battle where all things fell apart.

One of the Sinker fleet's smaller ships drifted off course however, its engine damaged as it snuck away during the battle. Those who looked through telescopes noticed the crew as already dead as the sleeper ship was not attacked by the Shadowsworn.

Ashen stood alone at the base of the deck surrounded by corpses as she fed upon one with her mask removed. Her skinless face glaring back at her from the bloody pools upon the interior dark frame deck. She sailed the ship into the Nebulae towards a giant ship begining to emerge from it.

She licked her teeth and placed the mask upon her face in eager prepairation for the bloodbath she would inflict.

Doomguard? Harmonium? Shadowsworn?

Everyone was pray now.

The ship drifted into one of the many docking bays as it suddenly set ablaze. Inside was all of the Entropic Explosives, Ashen immediatley took her leave of the area as swiftly as she could. The ship detonated as it created a minor blackhole, devouring the equipment that had been mass producing ships endlessly. She climbed across the walls of the hull, parkouring them with her bladed claws raking across the metal to get out of the blast. The blast took out one of the smaller hangers, she was onboard The Aegis.

Back in Sigil, the first of the Sensate, Taker fleet took off as Felicia's eyes whimpered looking at her coffers.

"B-but the money?! All that money! Why?! OH WHY!" She whimpered and glared up at the sky, shaking her fist. Her tone compleatly mello dramatic as she watched the final crewmen board the fleet.
"When they said 'war tax' I thought they were going to tax the citizens! Where is Darlene where are my servant maidens?! DAMN YOU SHADOWSWORN!" The woman took her coy nobles hat and began to bite and tug it furiously, screaming profane words at the loss of her precious jink to fund the fleet. It was a standard order of Rowan to bring some of each members coffers together to fund the fleet, War Tax was profitable, but it worked two ways.

The fleet took into the air and prepaired to lendlease its aid to the general direction of Realmspace that the Harmonium and Doomguard fleet had taken towards, offering its support as the three fleets bound together to create a blockade, preventing The Shadowsworn main fleet from leaving the Nebulae.

The Shaper observed events from Paradice. His focus kept upon the battlefield as he nodded over to a woman by his side.

"You know what has to be done. The time has come to let go of our unwanted part. Prepair for phase two... ...we have work to do."

He left the object with her, she would continue where Argantha had failed. Empires could be rebuilt, but this failure was inexcuseable. He had made prepairations in the event that he should become jeprodised.

For a brief moment his gaze turned to Sigil, and focused upon a halfling whom he had grown moderatley fond of. In some ways the Halfling resembled himself, in others, they dared to be more.

The Shaper walked over to what appeared to be a map of some kind. The creature reached for its mask, now that it was alone.

Pulling the mask away, the creature took a long, deep breathe and turned over to the sky above. The Far Realm warped the beautiful sun into a monsterous storm, maws and tendrils rippling through as rain fell upon the creatures face.

One might even assume tears came from it a moment, yet then the mask was placed upon once more. Its visor glowed a bright red, and the creature was ready once again, to do its necessary work.

The Shaper stared out to the window of the realm. Seeing forth its once beautiful world as the fires burned eternally. Molten rock purging all life into nothingness, blowing star to star across a vast infinite horizon untill all things were consumed in darkness.

The mask glowed a dimmer hue only a moment, but then the brightness burned a red fire as did the shape of its blackened wings glowing with a dark negative light, hateful and destructive.

Sigil, prepairation hours were being made.

The mercinaries from various forces had become the only source of defence the city had now that its main assault force was busy in a war elsewhere. The Hive ward was in more panic than ever before, without defences and the Mercykillers left alone to their devices, the situation was tense.

Elderin had been convinced upon hearing of the attack to send reinforcements to Maelfina's tavern which had become both a fortress and a sanctuary in this taxing time. Vorgazar's Orc troop had also put station there, and word was that Fargul's Mercs were on their way to make a stand at the adjacent Lerricks Shelter. Hildmor's own Mercinary Troop took station there where the mercinaries gathered to serve as a diversion, drawing in the enemy. They'd all been paid well or convinced from various sub-groups that they were a necessary cause now to hold off the bulk of The Shadowsworn invasion.

The first of the skimmers arrived through an invasion frigate. The frigate was one of several managing to splinter from the barricade and launch a counter attack on Sigil.

Skimmers immediatley crashed into the Hive first where the war had calmed, now replaced by a battle between Mercinaries and Shadowsworn. The former group took a hefty number of enemies down to size, but eventually, they were gradually being overwhelmed.

One by one each group either backed down or was wiped out compleatly. When worst got to worst they evacuated into the two garrisons where they hauled up into a defencive killing ground. The Shadowsworn were unable to advance their largest force further, but some stragglers got through.

A battle raged in the Hive as fires rose in the east of the Bazaar. They knew the time had come, the war was almost ready to decend upon them, the impending doom was now a matter of time...

This would be the battle for Sigil.

Where was the lady of pain in all this?

That, remained yet another troubling mystery.

It seemed, they were on their own, in this war against The Shadowsworn. Harmonium soldiers prepaired a line of defence against both the Hive front and the impending assault. The bridge was taken by the Shadowsworn.

Now they were pushed back to the outskirt of the Market ward, holding off the attack. There was little time left to prepair, the war would be upon the denizens of Sigil soon.

Fight or flight?

The choice was theres.
