The Shaper's new recruits went onboard the last ship to leave Mechanus, Roza and Khorne...
The Shaper watched them accend into Realmspace, as the figure stared unto the shadows nearby.
He turned away from the port one final time, as a gate way rippled nearby, he faded out of existance oncemore, into the realm of tranquility.
((Event Date:
Saturday 18th, GMT 12AM (or 24:00 to Digital timers)
Thats -5 EST (8PM)
-6 CST (7PM)
-7 MST (6PM)
and -8 PST (5PM)
This will be a long event
WARNING!
Firstly:
The event will have several features that can and will lead players to perma-death if they make any mistakes. Weather a hero intent on stopping evil or a villian intent on removing a rival, mistakes can lead to fatal consequences.
Secondly:
This is going to be a very long event, most likley, it will last the entire night till dawn. Be prepaired to accept this when being involved though be aware it will be for a good reason.
Finally:
Those who have been involved thus far in the Campaign are more than welcome to have a part in the conclusive part of its development. Those who havent been involved, be aware you will have a part to play aswell.
Details:
For Those Involved In Defeating Argantha:
There will be two seperate events occuring on the same day. The first event takes priority, but your own event will come immediatley afterwards, you know who you are and you willl be rostered to make sure your all present.
For Those Moderatley Involved With The Shadowsworn:
There will be an imminent minor invasion of Sigil, it will be up to you to repell the attack or dare one say, escalate it further through subtle or unsubtle methods.
BE WARNED: Helping The Shadowsworn is a 100% certainty of acknowladging PvP, and if one decides to do so you will be subject to a permadeath check.
If you are killed in PvP during that part you will be permakilled, no exceptions. Choose very wisley weather you help or fight The Shadowsworn.
Those Uninvolved, Have Very Vague Involvement:
Once again, the invasion event will take priority before the conclusion. You will be given option to take part in saving Sigil! Or furthering it towards damnation, DO SO AT YOUR OWN RISK!
PvE deaths will not be counted towards Permadeath, but if you choose to openly PvP with another party you are automatically concenting that if your char should die in battle, you will effectivly be permakilled. Regardless of what side you are fighting for, you will be subject to this, however...
Remember, if you attack a player during the event without them being involved in it, you will be subject to breaking PvP concent. However, if you see the player involved with attacking Shadowsworn, or helping them attack Harmonium, then you may consider it free-range.
The fight will be closley monitored to prevent ganking or rule-abuse. If your killed, dont whine, you were warned very firmly before anything happens.
In conclusion:
1.
There will be a largescale PVE event with free-range PVP, if you get involved you are subject to automatic concent towards PvP.
2.
Those involved in the event are also welcome to decide between Emote or Gameplay revolved PVP.
The Former (Emotes) will work as follows:
The players will decide a number of fights between 1 and 7, these rounds determine how long you want the combat between each other to last.
Rolls will be determined using primary stats only, check your skill-tab to see which stat corrisponds with which saves.
The winner will be decided by the most number of victories, example: if you've decided between each other that you want to do 5 emotes, then the one who wins 3 of those will be the victor.
Gameplay is obviously alot simpler, grab a sword, set to hostile, and bash someones brains out.
Remember, you MUST ask the persons prefference BEFORE you engage them, there will still be rules within the fun of violence.
And I will equally remind people one last time and I cannot stress this enough: Join at your own risk. The rules of this event have now been clearly given and if you so wish to engage in PvP you may do so, but if your character is killed, then there is no second chance.
So make a very careful choice when being involved.
When the event is over, a tally will summerise the casualties of whom died within it. Anyone who was killed in pvp is considered permadead and will not be given a chance to revive. That applies to EVERYONE, no exceptions.
I have given enough warning on that by now.
For those involved in Part 2: The Rescue...
You will equally be given several key choices, this is no cake walk, but the rewards of the event will be much greater than that of a regular DM event due to the effort required by the characters and the fatal consequense risks they must take.
You have only one option to opt out of those risks, once onboard, you have no going back.
Again, once you are involved, your involved for the ride. Your characters will play the critical role in ending "this" Campaign but you will have to work hard to achieve it.
As a fair play system of those who do shall be rewarded, those who survive the event and didnt make any fatal choices will likley be heralded as heroes or villians, depending on character choices made during such.
Again, for those involved, you've been given alot of warning.
Final Notes:
Those involved in the PVE/PVP event will not recieve epic rewards, but will instead recieve a single level regardless of current XP. Anyone whom "dies" in the event however will be permadead.
On that note, I will allow this one exception in that the players that are killed shall recieve up to a maxium of 5 levels towards their next character. Those 5 levels however will only be permitted if the character killed was level 5 or above.
Anyone below that:
It isnt very hard to gain the first five levels, believe me.
Where will the event take place?:
The Public Event will occur in the busiest of the cities areas, The Market Ward. This will be slap-bang in the middle of the Bazaar where a Shadowsworn Skimmer assault will land.
This part is expected to last up to an hour, it could be less, depending how fast the Heroes dispose of the Shadowsworn or the Shadowsworn dispose of the Harmonium.
The Private Event will be set in several smaller event area's some specially made for this event and left for future use for other ones. Those involved in the private event are welcome to join The Public Event, but the same rules apply, if you die there, you wont be able to attend the next part.
Why now end the campaign?:
The Shadowsworn have had their victories and won alot of ground, but they pissed off half the city to do so, now, they've pushed the wrong buttons. But they will make one last ditch effort to do some serious damage before making what would be considered a major retreat.
Argantha has enough of a fleshed out story that there isnt really anything you can add to whats been done. The characters part in this plot will reach a dramatic conclusion with some very interesting consequences regardless of player choices.
As to why? Sigil is a server that isnt truley revolvant around epic campaigns of grandeur scales, and I had no plans to make this last an entire year per say, it would last as long as it took. Its taken long enough, the players involved have been fantastic and those not involved have missed out on some great and dramatic moments in the RP.
But dont worry, everyone will get their chance to shine a star at least once. I felt it was necessary to create a player campaign that gave you, our loving community, something epic to do and leave behind when your characters got at least one bragging right and said "yeah, I saved/damned Sigil."
Though id probably consider telling people you damned it as something you'd probably want to keep to yourselves.
Well, either way, I have work to do, plots to plan and an event to conclude.
I will look forwards to seeing you all on Saturday while I spend my passtime building up to the conclusion.
For now then, lets all hope it turns out to be fun for everyone.))

Fear.
Fear always stinks of shit in the pants of those who can't handle it.
I would say, something like what is about to happen is not for everybody. If it's not for you then batton down the hatches and emerge later. If you feel discontent because you don't want to take part but hate missing big events then it's likely you have a gaming addiction problem.
Events arn't obligatory. it's just a game.
Just chill out, join in if you want and stay out if you don't.
I knew this day was coming when I got involved over a month ago. I chose to get involved then and i'm gonna stand by the characters who are ICly my friends and got themselves in deep enough that they can't avoid the negative consequences of the scenario.
Some people are in real deep with this plot and a lot is on the line for them if their buddies chicken out and forget them.

ONe thing I will state about all of this. I hope each and every one of you are satisfied with the bed you made. Before you start ripping into others consider that for most of this plot it was targeted in private to certain players which was fine by me. However the repeated comments about others missing out is not justified in the least. It is merely petty teasing.
If you wanna brag about getting private events fine. Personally I find it rather in poor taste to pretty much announce to the whole server that if they have low level characters they better stay the hell outta the event. Basically this is just an epic slam fest.
Azulfae... all I will say to you is that not everyone actually fear permadeath. I simply do not wish to participate in an event that culminates a sum of reasons for several players leaving within the past month and a half. One of them quietly asked me to go with them. Now I wonder why I refused back then? This whole plot has left a foul taste in my mouth as I've quietly listened to some of these other players before they left because they felt they were being ignored or left out. They were bored. They had nothing but the grind for them. That only keeps people so long before they move on.
Now your comment went and ruined rp going on. Thanks for that. So much for a community that at the least gives a damn about their fellow players. Just keep in mind that if this is the current tone for the server it may drive off new players that we would want to keep here. Sometimes grand battles don't make a setting great. Small things to add ambiance can go so much further.
As for players being deep. Well some are deep but frankly they found the way out because honestly many of us are growing tired of all of this. Enjoy it if you do but don't slap it in the faces of other players. You're liable to just find that some might take their roleplaying and go elsewhere.

\\ Just a heads up to folks curious. The public portion of this event has been cancelled or postponed to the next day. Private sections carried on a bit longer than anticipated it seems.
