The two Harmonium guards stood at one of the many guardhouses near the edge of the hive. Their shift had been long and boring and they looked forward to any interruption of the tedium. Most nuisances would leave the guardhouses alone. Not many Harmonium wander the Hive so the majority of the more unlawful type just simply kept away. The guard houses were simply used as a means to keep tabs on what went into the Hive... and what came out.
One of the guards idly yawned and tried to maintain his focus on the rest of his shift when he caught movement out the corner of his eye. What appeared to be two goblins stood not fifty feet from them. Both the dirty creatures made taunting motions and hurled feces at the two armoured guards. Almost thankful for the activity, the two guards took chase. It took less than 2 minutes to hunt them down. The goblins, of course, resisted arrest and were quickly put down.
The two guards slowly walked back to their post, laughing between each other. When they were within forty feet of the guardhouse it erupted into a massive explosion, sending wood chips and rubble across the streets and through nearby windows. The two guards were greatly shaken but otherwise, unharmed. Either they were very lucky to have been out of the shack when it erupted or it had been planned that way. Either way little else was known at this point.
