Due to the ongoing renovations at the Courthouse itself, this trial will, with due thanks to the Ciphers, be held in the Arena of the Gymnasium. All interested parties are invited to attend. Any wishing to speak up on behalf of or against the accused are asked to register with any clerk of the Criminal Courts.

This event is planned for Saturday evening, U.S. time. Any character who has had interaction with Raifael is encouraged to attend. Further details to be forthcoming. All are invited to RP reactions to this in this thread as well.

Legault Degare had briefly mentioned his twin brother's impending trial during the dinner he had shared with her, but it wasn't until the next day that Lady Kalina Sensbane heard the formal announcement.
Her feelings were mixed. Raifael Degare had kidnapped her - twice - and was responsible for the majority of the scars, pain, and mental anguish she had endured throughout her time spent in Sigil. Justice was owed. Still, he was the twin of the man she had once loved - a man who would be devastated if anything happened to his brother. And despite all that had transpired, she knew that Legault would never be the same without Raifael - and she genuinely wanted her former flame to find peace and happiness.
Her testimony could damn the errant brother - or it could save him. Frowning, the noblewoman considered her options as she read the latest paper and sipped her morning cup of tea.
Her presence at the trial was a given.

Raifael....
The name echoed from within a maelstrom of wind swirling around the lands of Brux as countless unfortunate woodland savages were caught in the vortex and hurled away with deadly gusts or fried into oblivion by powerful lightning bolts.
Raifael....
The name echoed again louder as a super natural storm kicked up and began to spew acid, lightning and other forms of death as it slowly swirl its way across the plains of Brux.
Raifael....

Granite Stonejaw knew this day would come, and as he sliped into the primal urges of the elements at his command he knew the day of the trial a detailed account of both attempts upon his life would appear in the court proceedings, offering vivid descriptions of Raifaels attempts on his life while they both served the Harmonium.
As Granite slips further and further into the primal urges of nature he rests assured knowing his testimony will make sure the mercy killers raise their axe just alittle higher before judgement drops with a bloody end.....

Eventually he was removed of the Harmonium when his crimes were revealed, some said he was possessed, but in Harmonium it was dedicated that he was dangerous mental health patient and taken to the custody of the Bleak Cabal. There he received medical and experimental treatment to his mental health and was eventually set free.
It is our belief however that he was set free too soon, as he almost immediately started the same way as he had been. I assume that there was an error on the treatment or something was overlooked. I will leave it for the Court to decide what will occur next.

Addendum to prior notice:
The trial of the accused Raifael Degare is set to proceed as planned. However, work in the courthouse has increased in pace; should the room be ready, the trial will occur there rather than in the Gymnasium. An update will be posted the day of the trial.
(( OOC: the trial should start at approximately 7pm CST (GMT -6). If the new "courthouse" area is working properly, a portal will be created in the Lady's Ward to allow public access. Watch this thread for further updates ))

This should be starting in the next fifteen or twenty minutes. A temporary portal leading to the courthouse will be set up in the lady's ward to the left of the Harmonium Barracks entrance, and a serverwide notice will be sent out when the event is about to start.

On the streets of Sigil, the word passes...
After a long an' at times odd trial, Raifael Degare was found guilty of mos' of the counts against him. 'Owever, the work of his suddenly appointed counsel, Gwendolyn Arris (yeah, tha's righ'! The Lyrical Whore 'erself!), led to him avoiding the noose. 'Course, he's being put in one of the Prison's deep cells for the rest of 'is life. Dunno which is worse, true ta tell. Leastwise it ain't the Grotto for 'im!

Granite Stonejaw had made an apperance at the trial, voiceing his outrage at the lack of death penalty for the former harmoniums actions, but then again it didnt surprise anyone when he showed up.
Its no secret Granite wants the man dead booked, no one was surprised.
Granite seems to be mildly accepting of the mans life time incarceration though its clear its not quite good enough for him. He is seen flitting from shadow to shadow and hideing in the dark places of the city talking to this person and that, and there are rumors that a large amount of jink has been passed from his hands to many others.
If one were to question granite or ask him where he has been the past few months he simply stares silently and then bursts apart in a shower of dust and leaves, vanishing from sight leaving behind a simple whisper.
"An arm for an arm, an eye or an eye when one breaks a thread of balance so to must they be broken".
