Option One: Presuming she does stop and listen he'd continue "Say, how'd ya be interested ta go browse art sort o' thin's? Know this brilliant fellow tha' oughta have a collection." leaning forward to murmur in a lower volume "Say... an owna' o' certain four hundred thousand statuette, eh?"
The Genasi stopped at Corny's call and listened to his proposition. She offered him a sneering smile and replied: "I am still uncertain..." she paused and stared at his eyes, lowering her voice ".. if you are a very bored or you care less about your own life than most people do about theirs. You look like a berk, but you snoop too much around. Now give me a single reason why I should follow you or go somewhere, because I think I haven't told you yet that I trust you."

Meanwhile the Mortuary's incorporeal visitor would observe many "raw" corpses. They seem to be brought in to the area where they are now. Then they are categorized, sometimes they are autopsied and eventually they are taken through the set of large double doors at the end of the hall. Each time the doors open and close a carnal chill fills the room, one that would gnaw at the bones of even the fellest of demons or most ancient of undead. Xef's body does not seem to be among those on display so it is likely it has been taken to the Mortuary's deep crypts.
Dressing up with the malevolent shadows of the Mortuary and once she is sure nobody else is in the room, the night lady rises silent behind the hooded man of the room piercing bone and flesh with her deep emerald gaze, scrutinizing to the deepest corner of his soul.
She knew that before taking the risk to cross the doors something else has to be tried.

Digging out the paper where the barmaid had written the address previously and making his way with or without the one to two lasses. That is, Guild Ward: 737-739 Mercurial Way. Knocking the door with his knuckles when reaching there.
"Seems some people cannae move on frem t'past after all." Odette offers with a shrug, watching Neerepha storm off. As Corny makes for the exit, the bardess throws back the rest of the amber liquid in her glass and stands to offer a final, grateful nod to the barkeep. Tightening the rapier harness at her hip, she catches up to the man with a few brisk steps and proceeds to the location mentioned.

Scene: The Guild Ward

Belkas and Oddette make their way through the wards to the address they were given. There is no need to knock though the doors are open and things from all around the multiverse are being brought inside to be put on sale or taken back our having just been sold. On one side of them two Earth Gensai struggle with an antique table, on the other side a slender pale Alu Fiend leads away a hulking Ogrog on a leash made of chain. As they enter a shadow flutters over the yard and a tiefling stops them.

"Buying or selling!?"

The jade gleam of her gaze was intense, almost blinding, it pierce through his mind and her deep and hollow words sounded absolute inside his head, imposing themselves over his will:

"I am the darkest side of yourself. The side you will not show to 'anyone' and will not let anyone knows about. Take me to Dorlan Xef. And exile me from your consciousness."

As the man start to move, the macabre figure came back to the shadows. Immersing this time in the shade of the Dustman.

Corny snickered at that a little, shrugging nonchalantly "Aye, tha' happens. I reckon basha's eitha' like me or hate me." he grinned. "Now ya know wha' category she belon's ta." He did initiate/maintain a ton of uninvested smalltalk the entire way, always diverting attention away from himself and agreeing or even adding to the exaggerated jesty theories of his previous whereabouts and what not.

As they approached the address and were stopped by the tiefling, the eyes spying the shadow and its source curiously before fixating to the tiefling. Corny would immediatelly adapt entirely different accent to his usual. A stuttering introverted altruist french extraordinnaire. "W-why g-good sir! T-this is m-most certainly a m-most resounding, yes." his hands unpocketed, he flourishes a theatrical bow and a geeky toothy grin. "H-how else c-can a man a-answer to s-such a... p-p-pardon m-my hrudeness, b-but... l-limited i-inquiry." he gave out a squeeky chuckle as if having been witty, and continued, pushing Odette forwards gently with a palm against her back "W-we, m-my f-friend are i-indeed b-buying or s-s-s-selling." struggling excessively on the last word seemed to frustrate him a little, but he flashed a grin after finished.

Presenting Odette as if she was art piece on display "M-meet m-my c-companyon." then gestured at the tiefling with an open palm, giving a friendly pat to the tieflings side soon after [during which he attempts to relieve the man of the burden of some small possession easily taken] "A-and d-dare say g-good sir..." index finger pointed out and cupping his chin theatrically thoughtfully "W-where w-would we d-do s-so... if n-non here?" a quirked inquisitive brow as he looked at the tiefling through his charade.

Scene the Hall of Records:

The clerk listens to the questions and answers.

"I think Mister Sarch had a nephew. Although he is currently not in Sigil but he would be next in line. Unless of course one of Mister Sarch's partners or underlings take over. It could get quite messy there is a lot of jink at stake. As for their business with the temple of the Abyss I don't know. He simply declared the donation on his tax return. it could just be a tax write off.

If you mean the Efreet who made the statue orginally, he died thousands of years ago. He might have had a daughter but she is probably dead by now too. If you mean the late Mister Xef's daughter her name is Avria."

Jall nodded again, almost exhausting her questions for the fated archivist

she murmurs ''you wouldnt happen to be able to identify know sarch's partners and underlings, or some of them?''

Scene: The Guild Ward

To Corny's performance, Odette's lips twitch only a single time; fighting the urge to sock him one for presenting her in such a way. She refrains, however, flashing a charming smile to the tiefling as she is introduced. It could wait.

"Greetin's." the bardess offers unashamedly in her usual dialect, extending a hand to shake. Despite the fact she offers few words, and her mannerisms are little on the rugged side, there is something subtly captivating about the woman's presence that goes beyond the aesthetically pleasing.

Though she doesn't seem to notice her companion's pilfering, her oceanic gaze weaves between the two with polite expression and quiet attentiveness to not only the conversation, but the surrounding area.

[[ Spot, as requested. Also included extra for performance reasons. I blame AR. ]]

Dace reviewed the files on the Eryines, looking for any information on her where abouts in Sigil (residence, occupation, people she associates with). Although he had doubts about an Erinyes resorting to murder and theft like this, spending a little time double checking wouldn't hurt.

As for the Efreet.... well, he was an obvious pick. An all -too- obvious pick, as was the female with him. Even so... worth checking out as much as the less likely Erinyes. But that information wouldn't be at some archivists finger tips. Luckily, he knew just whose finger might be on the dark of those two...

More information on the model itself was going to be harder to come by, and by now if there -was- any concrete information to be found from the Hall of Records or any other accessible library, he'd probably have heard some rumor of it by now. Well, if it was a rumor floating in Sigil. The City of Brass though, might be abuzz with word of this apparently key artifact changing hands.

Filling out a few more orders and dispatching some letters, he packed some of his equipment and logged his intended destination. Just in case he should "mysteriously" vanish, at least someone will catch a trail. All set, he made his way to the portal in the Lower Ward, silently hoping that Sasha wouldn't be -too- cross at him paying the place another visit without her.
