As Mir's blade hits the blue bird abberition everything goes a little hazy for all three of them.

When the world comes back into focus and the borders of reality reallign they are all riding tentacles of a gianormous blue squid like demon that appears to have a beak for a mouth and wild yellow eyes.

"NO CHARLEY NO! PUT THA JAMMER DOWN!!!"

[You brought this upon yourselves, + I fancied the mental image of Mir riding a giant blue tentacle.]

The Tangerine Queen

... and her themes:Outside

The majestic, gargantuan ship doesn't bear anything in common with sea going vessels. The ship seems sleek and robust, yet still delicate, but even so, there is into it more than eye can see.

The glimmering sapphire blue and aquamarine hull of it, decorated with gold and bronze, is obviously designed for both speed and beauty in mind. The top deck, a wide and long expanse of space, is made to resemble ironwood although a closer inspection tells that it is made of same material as the hull and every other visible structure on the ship – glassteel, enchanted glass that is as hard or harder than steel.

At back of the ship, part outside of it, extend two ominous structures which hum softly even when the ship rests at ease – the engines and their exhausts, the tools which propel Tangerine Queen both in air and in space. And from the engines extend a trio of sail "masts", snugly lying parallel with the stern until needed. When in flight, the fiery tangerine sails open and extend to sides like vertical wings.

At middle of the engines and above the main deck is the bridge, a streamlined structure with wide windows to front and sides. The main deck sports multiple swivel cranes for cargo, for which there is a vast space just below the deck. The deck and part the sides and front of the ship sports a large number of various heavy weaponry, from cannons and ballistae to more exotic sorts.

That the ship is – an ultimate expression of functional (and potentially very destructive) art, made real by hands of gith from an idea borne in the mind of it's designer and owner. But not only is the beauty of the ship striking, so are its dimensions; past 250 meters in length from the spearhead-like ramming nose to the delicate ends of the tail "wings", the beam 45 meters at the widest, and the height from main deck down to the stabilizing fins at bottom about the same.

Inside

The interior of the ship sports some gently dim lighting for both artistic touch and to aid those who cannot see in darkness. What is the source of lighting is anyone's guess as there is no obvious source for it, it seems to linger in the air without coming from anywhere in particular.

Every inch of the the walls, floors, and even ceilings of the dark oak resembling corridors are covered with delicate carvings which, if studied a while by someone enough deep delved in arcane (DC65 Spellcraft), are possibly magical in nature, but to what end is not discernible.

As vast the ship is outside, so it is insides – ten decks of varying sizes with rooms, corridors, storage spaces, staircases, and a vast cargo hold at the ship's midsection, ranging from main deck to the bottom of the hull in three layers.

Personality

"Alice", the Tangerine Queen, is a sentient being in itself, but controllable (with it's own little quirks at times) with ease by Mir, who is the only one aside Zahn'tra, and Mashanie to an extent, that can control her (at all).

Technical Ramble

Size: “Titanic”, 550,000 cy (5,500 tons; carry capacity up to 7,700 tons; Material: Glassteel (+20 AC, 10 Hardness); Maneuverability: Average; STR 72; HD 950(d10) +1200; Ram Damage: 12d8+36 (piercing); Other: can repair “light” damage by itself, heavier damage requires shipyard and/or engineers; Empyrean Bubble: 4,000 ft diameter; Crew: 1(*(**

Helm (move 800/640): Dweomer Boost, One with the Ship, Ultra Cruising, Major Cloaking (twin), Planar Portal Generator, Visual Sensors.

*) Mir.
**) crew required only to handle cargo and to serve passengers (and possibly large scale battles).

Weaponry: (to do)

Miscellaneous: Quad anchors, dozen large 20-man lifeboats, two medium 5-man lifeboats, 10 life preservers, two Crow's Nest, couple dozen grappling hooks with launchers, 8 sail booms (two sail wings), and so forth...

Augmentations:
  • Gate variant (tied to Portal Generator) to “beam” people in our out.
  • Extradimensional (Portable Hole) Storages

Word reaches both Mir Mash that Carimalis Gree wishes to use their services. When would be a good time to discuss using your cargo freighter services.

An old orc pirate captain comes to see Mir and Mash on behalf of Warchief Vorgazar. He has a peg leg and a hook for a hand and of course a patch over one eye.

The most disturbing thing is the small creature that sits on his shoulder that looks like a bluish skinned and feather plucked bird with bulging yellow eyes and something grotesque hanging from it's neck.

Occasionally it croaks the word, "Fookers! Craaaw!"

They may remember the pirate and his men from a previous endeavour.

Watches as the body is carted away, then carefully collects the remains of their bird, placing it on the desk. He then forages his bags for a scroll, and with a sigh, he unrolls it.

"Here's hoping".

He recites the spell, and watches the soft light envelop the charred remains. Luck was on their side again, Valko wasn't ready to leave this world, so his Resurrections scroll worked. As the soft light fades, the bird once again is amongst the living, pecking its wings like nothing happened.

- There we go. - he sighs with relief.
