Hi hi,

Im just wondering if theres any way we can get some sort of Scrying tool added. Alot of the time, no matter where you go it always seems deserted, and it would help people looking for Roleplays find people to do it with. Also it would be good to find people about your same level, so that a player wouldnt have to do it alone when they cant find anybodys.

Anyway, just wondering if its a possibles.

Thank you for your time.

XOXO

Already being planned.

And before asked, this is how we're planning it to become:
- It unlikely tells exact location of any specific player, just how populated areas are in general. (if you need to know location of specific player, you'll still just need to use good ol' tells for it)
- It will be OOC only, it cannot be used for IC purposes.
- It won't tell levels. It might tell if someone is within level range in way or another, but it won't tell anyones current level.
- It won't tell classes.

So in other words it'll mostly helps you find location of players, but not tell details of anyone.

Perhaps

1 can select if search able or not
2. those that are searchable will say what areas have people
3. if looking for group or not and if they are close to your level.

something like that?

To be honest as long as there is a letter 'P' option I do not really see myself using the 'scry'.

Thats pretty close to what I have in mind yeah PoV.

A scry tool is useful for finding a potential party.

I don't know - I see that as a lot of unnecessary work. All that the tool will do is save a player from asking " OOC: Whats your level? Im level XX Want to buddy up?"

I tend to agree with Lost and Not found. A quick press of the letter "P" will tell you who's in the area and who's not.

The scry tool being proposed seems like a bit of unnecessary fat that could be cut away from an admin team that's already a bit over-worked.

That's my two cents anyways.

Having seen how useful this thing is on other servers, and how annoying it often is to be logged in and everyone's god-knows-where, this is a good thing. B)
