I hear folks can not see Hellfire feats being enabled like the shield or blast....bummer.
The Imbue Item feat WTF does that do? do I have to take craft feats to use it?
I noticed some summons work different for wizards do warlocks have different undead summons?
warlocks a few questions

1) Yeah, only the user can see them (and DMs I believe? And DMs will see it even if you don't have it activated if you've activated it at least once), no one else will see the visual effects.Product of Void,Nov 27 2009 wrote: I hear folks can not see Hellfire feats being enabled like the shield or blast....bummer.

2) SCoD relatedly, nothing. Otherwise in NWN 2 if there would be used non SoZ crafting it would enable warlocks to craft items (it'd be kinda like "casting <specific spell>" on the target, but on SCoD SoZ crafting we use caster levels, which makes it useless.) - Also yes, you have to take the crafting feats to be able to use crafting.
3) Warlocks summon undead has been updated to Obsidians undead summon (actually low-level useful summon! after you get to level 13+ it starts to be less useful however). They are not altered by SCoD, but eventually we will make alterations for it to be level based summoning.

oooh useful until 13 and going to get modified.
oh a henchman to have and hold....that poor poor thing. I can not imagine a worse fate then to be attached to Nenir.

Warlocks can draw power from many sources, and they can do so because of a specific pact they made, a pact they were forced into, or because of a bloodline.
My PC, Dunbar, has warlock powers through his bloodline (fey-blooded prostitute mother, anonymous, fiendish "father").

Warlocks tend to be someone whom generally have made pacts with demons/devils/fey, although it's possible that also some of their parents have done those pacts and they just carry it out whether they want it or not.
That's more of how they 'are', as for how they are seen... I'd say others are more familiar with it and some very likely are morally conflicted about the whole making pacts with demons and devils <.< and those that aren't familiar with warlocks might consider it like any other type magic, maybe see that there's something different in it (like the whole "unlimited invocations" thing)

And what Mr. O said stacks upon the Sigil setting: making a deal with an outsider, evil an evil one, is not as shocking as it is in, say, Forgotten Realms.

ah very cool makes sense for something that was inherited. Though Perhaps say a devil or something in the mix which also makes sense for a teifling. YAY.

In the end, all warlocks are doomed in some way. Whether they wanted the pact or not, it amounts to trading in some or all of their soul for power. It never ends well.
