That's what we've been planning to do mostly yeah.Dedic8ed,Jan 13 2010 wrote: With that in mind, might it not be possible to have this tool ignore those areas?
As an addendum to this, would it also be possible to simply have the tool return the plane the players are on, and not the area detail? For instance, it might return "a commotion" from the Beastlands, but that would not tell if it's the grasslands, forest, waterfall, etc.
Scry Tool?

way I figure something like this would function is this
you can activate widget or some part of the gui
1. option one (list or do not list)
2. option two (looking for group not looking for group).
3. display looking for group
4. display areas
1 and two explain themselves it would toggle between being shown or not. Listing groups would just give a listing of those who have enabled the toggle and are close in level nothing more. Area list I figure would be likewise show if there is "few", "commotion", "herde" at X location. Not much else.
How long, what level or who would not be displayed no point.
Most common abuse is a DM logs in and folks Gather to were groups are in hopes of gaining DM attention. As for folks having alone time I don't care my characters will fail in relationships 100%. :P

When I play it is usually the low hours. I don't have high hopes for the NWN2 player base as general. Plus, I'd rather have the tintable red-wizard robes than some tool of no use to me.Tildryn,Jan 12 2010 wrote: It would almost certainly be a part of the r-click menu, that's where I've seen it before.
Lost and Not Found, your utter hostility to the idea entertains me so. :P

Oh for goodness sake...
The tool will be optional to use... you can opt out of being shown on it... it doesn't pinpoint anyone by name, only number of peoples of certain levels grouped in certain areas...
It will be completely invisible to those who don't want to think about it, as if it was never there...
